Mango Icy

A nutritious breakfast that is perfect for when you’re craving a smoothie and very filling too! It’s also a great source of dietary fibre and protein.

Ingredients

  • ½ cup mango pieces
  • 1 scoop (21g) protein powder e.g. Sunwarrier rice protein powder
  • ¼ – ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon traditional oats
  • 1 tbsp flaxseeds
  • 2 tbsp chia seeds
  • 1 cup milk of choice (i used ¾ cup soy and ¼ cup coconut)
  • 1 cup ice cubes
  • 1 tsp stevia powder

Method

Place all ingredients in a blender and blend. Pour into serving glass and top with chopped mango and additional seeds. Consume immediately!

Nutrition: 1608kJ, 34.8g protein, 15.9g dietary fibre, 19.8g carbs, 15.1g sugar, 17.3g fat, 3.7g saturated (depends on milk used), 528mg calcium
*If wanting to lower the kilojoules cut down to 1 tbsp chia seeds and 2/3 cup milk.
