Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Do you offer online appointments?
Yes — all consultations are via secure telehealth (phone or video call), available Australia-wide.
Do I need a referral?
You do not need a referral. But we are registered with Medicare, DVA, NDIS and health funds, so if you’d like to see if you qualify for rebates or your plan covers a dietitian or certified personal fitness trainer, speak to your GP, NDIS co-ordinator or health fund.
Can I claim a rebate through Medicare or private health?
Many funds cover dietitian services. Check with your provider to see if you have dietitian extras cover. If your doctor has referred you to see me on a GP Chronic Condition Management Plan referral, you will be able to get a partial rebate from Medicare. We will need a copy of the referral.
Are you registered a registered NDIS provider?
Is telehealth as effective as face-to-face?
Yes — research shows telehealth nutrition support is just as effective and often more convenient.
Who do you work with most?
A variety of patients seeking support with chronic health conditions (diabetes, insulin resistance, PCOS, heart conditions etc), weight management (loss or gain), bariatric surgery (we specialise in this area), gut health, food intolerances, vegetarian and vegan diets.
We also put together fitness and exercise plans.
We also do home visits in the local area (Penrith NSW and the surrounding suburbs) for NDIS participants or telehealth for those who are not local.
